Have a couple of friends who got caught using limewire, was charged a huge fine. Apparently, they used limewire to download anime. I would like to highlight the dangerous of using limewire in this article.

Limewire contains virus. I was using Norton back in 2006, still using limewire, as that was the only way I knew to get songs. Downloaded a song and immediately, my Norton said it was a virus. What a waste of time! Waited for like 10minutes and it was a bloody virus! How angry I was. Had I not have that Norton, my computer would have been attacked. So to those users out there who still wants to use them, do make sure you get an anti virus.

Limewire has slow download speed. It’s speed is really slow. Yeah, I know, you say you have the limewire pro. But honestly, the download speed sucks. It can never beat download speeds I get from hosting websites. And apparently, if it is slow, then it takes a longer time and there is a higher risk of getting caught!

It is really famous. Ever heard of the saying ‘the safest place is always the most dangerous place’? Likewise here, it isn’t really smart to use something that is really famous, because even the police would know about it. Obvious huh? It really isn’t a wise thing to use limewire, but if you really want to, there is nothing I could do about it.
